Event Transportation Systems (ETS) manages hotel shuttle and VIP transportation for the annual National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) Show, and this year an unprecedented snowstorm in New Orleans tried and tested our experienced management team and field staff.

With an historic 8-10 inches of snow blanketing the New Orleans metro area, the airport and main highways were shut down for the two days leading up to the opening of the 2025 NADA Show. And when freezing temperatures turned the city streets into an ice-skating rink, it was all hands-on-deck for ETS!

Once the forecast for a dangerous winter storm was confirmed, ETS made emergency travel changes for its key staff and brought them in early. During pre-show days, our team stepped in with their 4WD vehicles, navigating the treacherous street conditions to take VIPs and NADA staff where they needed to go. Our dedicated VIP transportation scheduler provided outstanding customer service as she fielded constant changes to schedules for off-site meetings, board dinners and special events.

When it became apparent that flights would not resume until the first day of shuttle service, our operations team pivoted and repurposed buses for an airport shuttle two days in a row to get attendees and exhibitors safely and efficiently into the city. We even sent some emergency late-night buses for airport pickups as there were long lines waiting for taxis and rideshare. Our President and Vice President didn’t miss a beat, filling in as airport greeters to assist attendees and reassure them that the Show would go on.  And, with all partners working together on behalf of all the NADA stakeholders, the Show DID go on… successfully… with 75% of registered attendees able to get to the Auto Industry Event of the Year!
