ETS Catches the Current at the 61st Annual NECA Convention
Event Transportation Systems (ETS) was recently contracted by the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) at its National Convention and Trade Show, held October 3-6, 2015 in San Francisco, California, to provide shuttle ground transportation for attendees transversing between hotels and the convention center, and buses to and from special events.
2015 marked the 61st annual NECA convention and trade show. Held over three days for more than 6,000 attendees, NECA was supported by the industry’s most comprehensive education program, including pre-contention workshops, management education and technical workshops. More than 300 manufacturers and distributors participated to showcase thousands of products and solutions for electrical contractors.
The weekend opened with a reception at the world-famous Exploratorium and closed with a concert featuring Kenny Loggins. Speakers included educational visionary Sal Khan, creator of the Khan Academy and endurance swimmer Diana Nyad, who talked about her historic swim from Cuba to the United States. NECA 2015 also featured 69 educational sessions, and 23 winners in the Showstopper Showcase.
ETS provided shuttle services to safely move attendees with its on-time service. For off-site special events, ETS managed a fleet of buses whose professional drivers maneuvered smoothly through the San Francisco metropolitan area, allowing attendees to relax and enjoy the entertainment.

Its first convention was held in 1901 in Buffalo, NY. NECA is composed of national and 119 local chapters with the mission of advancing the industry through advocacy, education, research and standards development.
ETS Transports the 2015 ACR/ARHP Annual Meeting
Also in November in San Francisco, CA, Event Transportation Systems provided transportation for shuttles and events for the American College of Rheumatology’s 2015 ACR/ARHP Annual Meeting, held November 6 – 11, 2015. We also employed our new Shuttle Tracker to track our shuttles with real-time GPS technology.
This annual meeting is the premier rheumatology conference, not just for the United States, but internationally, and appeals to everyone in the field, from clinicians to educators to fellows. They gather to discuss issues, learn about important research and share best practices. The Annual Meeting also offers wonderful networking and collaboration opportunities.
