End-of-Summer Activities Launch ETS into a Busy Fall Season

ETS loves to find ways to connect with our peers and give back to our communities through industry activities. Here are two of the ways we recently got involved.

Freeman Charity Golf Classic
Event Transportation Systems (ETS) was pleased to sponsor a hole and provide refreshments at the 7th Annual Freeman Charity Golf Classic, held Friday, August 28, 2015 at the National Golf Club in Fort Washington, MD. We love this charity that helps benefit the American Heart Association and Freeman’s campaign for the Heart Walk in the Washington D.C. area.

The Sequoia Luncheon and the Rajin Cajun
In addition, IAEE (International Association of Exhibitions and Events) hosted an educational luncheon at the landmark Sequoia Restaurant at the Washington Harbour in Washington, D.C. It is one of the most breathtaking locations along the banks of the Potomac River near historic Georgetown, with expansive views of the Kennedy Center, Roosevelt Island, Key Bridge, the Virginia skyline, and its namesake, the Presidential Yacht U.S.S. Sequoia.

The U.S.S. Sequoia served as the Presidential Yacht from Herbert Hoover to Jimmy Carter, who sold it in 1977. It was decommissioned, but is still often used privately.

Following the luncheon, we invited attendees aboard ETS president Eric Hotard’s 48-foot boat—the Rajin Cajun—for some networking and fun. What a great way to take advantage of this early fall weather.

We appreciate having our old and new friends on board to help us build excitement as we enter in to this new season.
