Now that spring has arrived, ETS is getting busy with convention and meeting transportation needs. Here are two shows we recently assisted:
HIMSS at Chicago, Illinois
Event Transportation Systems (ETS) is pleased to have provided transportation management services for the Health Care Information Management Systems Society’s (HIMSS) annual meeting held April 13-16, 2015 in Chicago, IL. Nearly 43,000 attendees participated in a combined total of more than 600 educational, on-line and exhibitor sessions.
ETS supplied 90 buses that shuttled the majority of attendees to and from 90 hotels. Airport transfers, and corporate special event and VIP transportation services were also provided to the thousands who were moving to and from airports and in and around town.
We nimbly and efficiently navigated through last-minute road closures, construction, and city events, without any visible impact to meeting attendees.
In addition, exhibitors at the HIMSS annual meeting were able to promote their products and services through shuttle bus banner advertising provided by ETS’ sponsorship division—Newsday Communications.
ASCRS-ASOA at San Diego, California
Ground transportation for the ASCRS-ASOA annual Symposium & Congress, held April 17-21, 2015 in San Diego, CA was successfully executed by ETS during a week of perfect weather.
Three subsets were present at this meeting, with more than 7,000 attendees. The ASCRS Symposium is the largest meeting in the United States dedicated exclusively to the needs of the anterior segments specialist, the ASOA Congress is the leading practice management program for comprehensive ophthalmology and subspecialties, and the Technicians & Nurses Program provides high-quality clinical and surgical education.
ETS provided between 18 and 21 buses daily that moved attendees between the convention center, hotels and special event venues. Newsday Communications managed the sales for the daily convention television program that aired on the shuttle buses and also provided shuttle bus graphics to support ASCRS’ sponsorship offerings. This advertising drove attendees to exhibitor booths to learn more about their new products.
